The Shootout is the final timed event at the end of the Festival of Speed, this year 47 cars entered the shootout ranging from the Fiat S76 “Beast of Turin” (pictured) to NASCAR and Rallycross. Modern F1 is excluded and has been for many years, the current course record set in 1999 by Nick Heidfeld in a McLaren MP4-13 is 41.6 seconds for the 1.16 mile course, it has been determined that F1 is too fast to be safe for the course.
Anyway I won’t spoil it, here’s the final shootout.

Some of the cars that run this are properly insane. I can’t remember who it was, but one of the old Bugattis was being driven hard. That driver had some big balls to go tail out with a 100 year old race car.
